Electronic Equipment Assembler

Part Time to Full Time – Salary Range $22 – $32 Per Hour

Philtec is a small business that designs and manufactures custom displacement sensors that operate in the extreme environments of many aerospace applications. Our production team is a close-knit group of professionals who are upbeat, talented and extremely proud of their work and the cutting edge products they produce. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and friendly person to join our production team and take pride in building custom products with zero defects. Training will be provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Incoming inspection of material: PCBs, Fiber Optic Cables, Optoelectronics, etc.
  • Assemble Fiber Optic Cables, Optoelectronics, PCBs and Enclosures 
  • Test final assembly of products using oscilloscopes, function generators and motorized stages meeting production standards and specifications
  • Prep sensors for final calibration checks
  • Calibrate sensors, record production data and prepare for shipment. 

Skills/Training

  • Minimum High School or GED or Equivalent
  • 2 Year Degree a plus
  • Certified to J-STD-001 CIS a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years electronic assembly experience with hand placement SMT soldering and rework a plus
  • Understanding of IPC-610 standards
  • ESD knowledge and procedures
  • Simple electronic equipment (DVM, oscilloscope, function generator, etc.)
  • Very detail oriented
  • Quality responsibility
  • Manual dexterity
  • Microsoft Excel and Word
